Moving into the new model year, the 2021 Jeep Renegade improves upon the solid offering of its 2020 version. The Renegade is the crossover SUV that holds up to its name by being different from the conventional models. The 2021 family of Renegade models have been given a host of upgrades including new standard features and several new trim levels available for purchase. Performance

One area that Jeep has left unchanged from its 2020 Renegade model is its excellent performance. The standard four-cylinder engine fitted into the 2021 Renegade generates 180 horsepower for plenty of performance to go wherever the driver needs to efficiently. FWD is standard on the 2021 Renegade, with AWD being available as an option.

The new 80^th Anniversary and Islander editions of the 2021 Renegade have distinct exterior and interior additions that set them apart from the rest of the family of SUVs. With 19-inch Granite Crystal wheels and badges unique to its trim, the 80^th Anniversary Edition has an eye-catching set of unique exterior components to go with its distinct interior changes. Meanwhile, the Islander Edition transfers a little taste of the tropical lifestyle to the northern Michigan climate. A panoramic sunroof, a hood decal that has an island theme, and seat backing with special embroidery are all part of the collection of unique features for the trim option. As for general upgrades, the 5-inch display from the base 2020 infotainment system has been upsized to a seven-inch display for 2021. Additionally, this system comes with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto at the 2021 base level as well.  

Safety Features

New standard safety features make the 2021 Jeep Renegade the most comprehensive version of the SUV available. Cross-Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Lane-Keep Assist are now standard across the entire family of 2021 Renegade models. The base 2021 Renegade also now comes with Automated Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning to help keep the driver protected from the front. Otherwise, the 2021 Renegade maintains the excellent handling performance that made the 2020 Renegade effortless to maneuver around town and on various road and weather conditions.
