Keep Your Pet Happy & Healthy on Your Next Family Trip

This also helps you designate approximately how long you’ll plan on spending in the vehicle at any time. A good plan is to spend no longer than two hours at a time if possible. This way, your pet doesn’t have to wait a long time before getting to run around and get fresh air. 

Bring Important Items – If your pet has a special diet or has a favorite treat, make sure you pack plenty of those items to last the entire trip. As you can’t guarantee that you will find those items while on the road, having extra is better than not enough. This also holds true for important medicine that your pet needs. It is also a good idea to bring items such as a leash, waste bags, and toys along so that you can be prepared to care for your pet at any point during the trip.
