Given to the models produced in and after September of 2019 and with specific features, the new 2020 Renegade was awarded the Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The trim level must be equipped with the Automatic Emergency Braking feature (which was graded “superior”), Forward Collision Warning Plus, and LED projector lamps with optional automatic high-beam control which were found to be impressive by the test drivers.
