Jeep and RAM features for 2019

The new Jeep and Ram features have a lot to offer in 2019. Here are some of the highlights.

The 2019 RAM 1500 has been completely redesigned

It’s changes galore when it comes to the 2019 Ram 1500! Here are 5 that stand out:

  1. Redesigned interior
  2. Updated infotainment
  3. Improved safety
  4. Adding hybridization
  5. Reengineered chassis

  1. RAM’s interior redesign

New Ram features abound inside and out in the 2019 Ram 1500. While the grille design has been updated for a bold new look, just wait until you see the interior! Ram’s interior has been upgraded to deliver improved storage space, updated technology, improved safety, and eco-friendliness.

The Ram interior includes rear-passenger legroom (on crew-cab models) with 45.2 inches to stretch out in. You’ll feel like you’re sitting in a limousine – not an economy airplane seat! Some versions include heated and cooled rear seats that recline eight degrees. (Great for naps!) Opt for a panoramic sunroof and enjoy staring up at the night sky (unless you’re driving, of course!).

‘Comfort’ is one word to describe the 2019 Ram. Trucks with front bucket seats offer more than one cubic foot to stow belongings. Drivers will appreciate a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, as well as the rotary shift knob. Plus, hand-stitched leather and authentic wood trim are available in higher-end models.

  1. RAM gets TECHnical!

Technology plays a substantial role in the new Ram features for 2019.

The 2019 Ram 1500 is available with a 12.0-inch touchscreen Uconnect 4 infotainment system on certain trim packages.

The screen includes a navigation system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and can display information in split screen. Redundant physical buttons control key infotainment and climate functions (heating, cooling, ventilation, etc). Up to five USB ports make it easy for passengers in both rows to plug in their devices.

  1. Improved safety

New Ram features make safety a top priority.

The 2019 Ram 1500 features added blind-spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera system, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Plus, LED headlights and taillights are available on almost all Ram 1500 trim packages.

4. It’s a hybrid!

The 2019 Ram 1500 is a hybrid, utilizing Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ eTorque system.

Hybridization comes standard on Ram 1500 V-6 models and is optional on 1500’s with the pushrod V-8. The 2019 Ram 1500 also made aerodynamic additions to improve fuel efficiency.

5. Larger or lighter? How about both!

New Ram features don’t neglect the core of the beast!

The chassis is the frame of a structure. In this case, the frame of a vehicle in which the truck is built on.

Incorporating high-strength steel, the new Ram 1500 reengineered its chassis to make it lighter and stronger. In fact, the Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds and carry a payload of up to 2320 pounds. Impressively, the 2019 Ram 1500 lost over 200 pounds compared to previous models during this improvement. Talk about win-win!
