Performance
While the 2020 Jeep Compass had a manual transmission standard and an automatic transmission available, the 2021 model does away with the manual transmission. In the Trailhawk® trim of the Compass, the automatic transmission gets upgraded to a nine-speed variant. Other than the change from manual to automatic for the basic transmission, the 2021 Compass is equipped with the same engine as the 2020 family of models.
Exterior & Interior Features
Both the interior and exterior of the 2021 Compass come with new design features and technology based on the trim chosen. Namely, the new 80th Anniversary Edition is a trim level that builds off the Latitude trim. The differences from the Latitude to the 80th Anniversary Edition include exterior features such as gorgeous 19-inch Granite Crystal wheels. Inside, the leather seating has intricate contrast stitching and the interior is adorned with piano-black and gunmetal accents. The integrated infotainment system also gets an 8.4-inch touchscreen.
Safety Features
New standard features in several trim levels of the 2021 Jeep Compass make operating the SUV even easier whether on the highway or off-roading. Both the Limited and Trailhawk® trims of the 2021 Compass are recipients of the new technology. Lane Keeping Assist is now standard on both trims, as well as Adaptive Cruise Control.
